I have a 4-year-old Dictaphone Straight Talk 7120 Voice Processor with 80 minutes, two dictation ports, and one transcription port for sale. I upgraded to a larger machine and would like to sell this one. This unit is upgradeable, should you so desire. VERY reasonable! Give us some information about this machine. I'm not real familar with a lot of the new technology available, but my office manager told me today one of my doctors has a new machine where he could just download his dictation to my computer - - she said the transcriptionist he had before didn't have compatible software??? She wasn't sure exactly what it was. I've been picking up tapes there. Do you know what this would be?

I have a Lanier Voice Write EX that the Hospital provides for me, all I have to do is call in and press in my code and all of my dictation is managed from the Hospital. I need a machine of my own that I can receive dictation for my 2 clinics where they can dictate to my machine and I wouldn't have to go pick up tapes.

Thanks SOMara, I just need to talk to someone who can explain to me how it actually works, so that I can explain it to my doctors. They were originally approached by a dictation company called "Medscribe" or something like that and they use transcriptionists all over the world(India), which is what my doctors didn't like, even though they liked the concept of going digital versus tapes. They do like to have the same transcriber do their reports all the time (thank goodness!!!). Anyways, thanks for your help.
