Hello, I am a newbie at mt. I am just beginning classes. But I am not new to the medical arena. I wanted to know where are good resources for audio tapes, files, cd's so that I can carry them with me and practice the terms? Are there downloadable media for an ipod? Also what suggestions would you give to someone that doesn't retain info. fast? Flash cards, etc? I am so wanting to complete this course for so many reasons, but just need additional resources to help me learn. Currently I am a Clinical Research Assistant at a major CRO, but my exposure is limited to only a couple of speacialties. Any additional info for newbiews? Thank you in advance fo your help.

Have a great day.

I know that Stedman's has flash cards. There are audio tapes and/or CDs for transcription--check out www.HPI.sum. Not aware of terminology on CD, though if you buy certain transcription-related books they come with a CD.

Sorry I wasn't able to help more!

Thanks. I'll check this out. I am just looking for any and all tools that will help me to visually and audiably learn these words. I know a lot will come as I use it from day to day, but I at least need to get through the basics. I know it wasn't this hard when i was in high school right? LOL

Have a great day.

Just wanted to come back to say I really like that site at HPI.sum

It has some really great resources. For those not familiar with it you may want to check it out.
