In order for my office to be HIPAA compliant, I am hoping that you may be able to recommend some companies that offer a platform/software where the docs in a small office (i.e. four physicians right now) could still use hand-held digital recorders (not phones), upload their dictation on a computer in their office to the Internet platform/software program, where possibly 2-4 MTs could access/download the dictation, transcribe it, and send it back to the doctors' office computer. (It is my understanding that this can be done in compliance with all the new regulations.)

I would sincerely appreciate any info/suggestions you may have to offer. I would be very grateful for any links to companies. It would be very helpful if you know of any pros/cons to any of the programs. I would like to also be able to use Instant Text with it.

Thank you so very much.

Hi everyone!

Has anyone ever used the aluminum stethoscope kind of earphone/headset? I am needing a new set and was told that these are fantastic.

I have also considered the Spectra headphones.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Good Morning,

I am currently enrolled in Allied Medical School's Transcription course. My pedal is not working. I thought at first it the USB port but it is not. I plan to call Allied today, but I know that to replace the pedal is going to be very expensive. Can anyone tell me where I could get a pedal that is effective but reasonably priced.

Thank you

Hi--there are a lot of them for sale on eBay--make sure you get the one that it is compatible with your computer port.

If you want a new one, Medword.com (this site) sells them, I believe.

Good luck!
